Can prostate cancer be worse for someone who already had multiple sclerosis? - prostate cancer statistics
My father was diagnosed with prostate cancer on Friday. The doctor said it was too early, and he is very optimistic. I read online and the prognosis looks good.
Unfortunately, my father has MS and is quite advanced. He was diagnosed about 25 years and is in a wheelchair. The will of his multiple sclerosis, have no influence on the prognosis of prostate cancer?

Prostate cancer is one of mens worst enemies, but with a checkup every 6 months alot can be diverted from having treatment altogether.
Hi Ashley, I have MS for twenty years. Those of us with the Member States which have affected the immune system. Therefore, we would have a harder time fighting a disease, inflammation or infection. This does not mean they can survive cancer or other disease. Simply means that it might have a harder time. Many of us have a dual diagnosis, and live near normal life expectancy. Best wishes for you and your father.
Curiously, one of the chemotherapeutic agents for cancer of the prostate (Novantrone) is used also used in the treatment of severe multiple sclerosis. He can be surprisingly good!
Good luck to you and your family. God bless you.
Do not understand why it should be completely independent.
Do you think that the doctor told her that if they play a role?
My father had prostate cancer and since there are not fighting for a speedy recovery. I may be wrong, but they do not see that MS has an effect on cancer.
